Great article. Google created these maps listings to monitize them. They are now selling what they call a Google "tag" which basically highlights a section of the maps listing but does not guarantee ranking among the top 7.

I recommend hiring this company for optimizing the Google Maps:
<a href="http://www.googlemapsseo.com" rel="nofollow">Google Maps Optimization</a>

They have a great support team that will help you out even if you dont become a client!

I like your blog. I have someone doing my SEO, I gave them our 5 addresses and phone numbers, they said that google combined them based on my company name, but I only show up in certain areas, not for my major jeywords near some of my service areas, is there any way I can confirm that they actually used the adresses and didnt get lazy and only make 2 for example? My organic is great but I get zero conversions from it.
